History -
This Corps was formed 2 Apr 55 and known as Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry Cadet Corps. affil.: PPCLI, Apr 2, 1955. It was sponsored by The Queen's Own Rifles of Canada Depot and was affiliated with PPCLI. Eff 11 Jan 56 the sponsor changed to PPCLI Depot. Eff 29 Oct 68 the Corps re-affiliated with the Canadian Airborne Regiment and the sponsor changed to Comd AB Regiment. The Corps was re-designated eff 6 Dec 68 as the Canadian Airborne Regt Cadet Corps.
Affiliation changed to 3 PPCLI in 96 (without authorization). The sponsor is Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 178, Norwood (no auth?).
