History -
Formed effective 7 December 1954 (CAO Supp 427/55) and affiliated with lst Battalion, The North Saskatchewan Regiment (PA&BV), effective 1 March 1955. In December of 1970, affiliation was changed to The North Saskatchewan Regiment as the Regiment was reduced in strength to one Battalion. The Corps is sponsored by Branch 128, Royal Canadian Legion, Turtleford. This Corps was formed 7 Dec 54 and designated 2533 Turtleford Cadet Corps. It was sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128 and was affiliated with Prince Albert and Battleford volunteers (Machine Gun) Royal Canadian Infantry Corps. Effective 1 Mar 55 the Corps re-affiliated with 1st Btn NSR (The PA 7 B Volunteers) (MG). Effective Dec 70 affiliated unit to read as NSR vice 1 NSR. In the 1976 annual report this Corps was placed on probation until 31 Dec 76 due to poor efficiency rating at their annual inspection. Probation was extended until 31 Dec 77. Effective 1 Jan 78 probation was cancelled.
St Walburt Royal Canadian Legion Br 13 became co-sponsor in 90 without authorization.
