History -
The Corps was originally formed 26 Apr 1954 as King's Own Calgary Regiment (14th Armoured Regiment) and sponsored and affiliated with King's Own Calgary Regiment (RCAC). The Corps disbanded 1 Jan 1958.
The Corps reformed 1 Nov 1976 as King's Own Calgary Regiment Cadet Corps. It was sponsored by Branch 15, Royal Canadian Legion, Cochrane and affiliated with King's Own Calgary Regiment. In the 1980 annual inspection report, the Corps was placed on probation until the 1981 annual inspection, at which time, probation was extended until the 1982 annual inspection. Probation was removed 1982 (no documentation).
