History -
This unit was formed 10 Mar 1954, designated 2508 Thorsby (8 Independent Signal Sqn) and was sponsored by the Strawberry School, Div No. 49. It was originally affiliated with 8th Independent Signal Squadron RCCS. Eff 1 Jan 1971 sponsorship was changed to Royal Canadian Legion Branch 266, Calmar and it was redesignated 2508 Calmar/Thorsby Cadet Corps. The corps was disbanded 03 Mar 1975.
