This Corps was formed 12 Nov 52 and known as the "Central Kings Rural High School Cadet Corps", and sponsored by the School Board and Affiliated with "West Nova Scotia Regt, RCIC". On 18 Dec 72, the corps was redesignated as the "Kings County Cadet Corps". On 1 Jan 1973 authority was granted to transfer sponsorship to the West Nova Scotia Regiment. As of 1st April 1975 sponsorship has been assumed by the Kinsmen Club of Kentville. Eff 3 Jul 96 sponsor changed to Royal Canadian Legion Branch No 6 (D Cdts Adm 594 refers.
