This Corps was formed 2 Apr 51 and known as Blind River Continuation School Cadet Corps and affiliated with 49th (SSM) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. affil.: 49th (Sault Ste Marie) Medium Anti-Aircraft Regt RCA, Oct 1, 1956. affil.: 49th (Sault Ste Marie) Medium Anti-Aircraft Regt RCA, May 1, 1957. redisig: 49th Field Artillery Regiment RCA Cadet Corps. Effective 1 Oct 56 the Corps was redesignated the Blind River District High School CC and again effective 1 May 57 the new name became Blind River Canadian Legion Cadet Corps. This Corps was placed on probation 18 Mar 75 due to low attendance. The corps is sponsored by Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 189, Blind River (no auth.)
