2353 Thessalon High School Cadet Corps was originally formed 7 Oct 49. affil.: 49th (Sault Ste Marie) Med Anti-Aircraft Regt. It was sponsored by Central Algoma Board of Education and affiliated with 49th (Sault Ste Marie) Heavy Anti-Aircraft Regiment. Effective 18 Dec 72 the Corps redesignated as Thessalon Cadet Corps and sponsor became Branch 182, Royal Canadian Legion. Due to low numbers the Corps disbanded 1 Feb 76.
Effective 15 Oct 82 the Corps reformed as Thessalon Army Cadet Corps. It was sponsored by Branch 182, Royal Canadian Legion, Thessalon and affiliated with 49th Field Regiment RCA.
