2250 Bracebridge High School Cadet Corps was originally formed in Bracebridge on 1 February 1946 and disbanded on 31 March 1947.
Another corps, 2816 Muskoka Lakes College Cadet Corps was formed in Bracebridge on 16 February 1967 and disbanded on 1 January 1969.
Formation of 2250 122 Royal Muskoka Regiment Army Cadet Corps is authorized effective 1 Apr 94. The number 2250 is accorded to the corps to perpetuate army cadet history in Bracebridge. The sponsor of the corps is Branch 161 Royal Canadian Legion, Bracebridge. The affiliated unit is Canadian Forces School of Administration and Logistics (CFSAL) Borden and the support base is CFB Borden.
