This corps originally formed 25 Apr 1931 as the Saint Joseph's School Cadet Corps. It disbanded 31 Aug 1934.

The corps reformed 1 Sep 1997 as the Shediac Army Cadet Corps sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 33, Town Police Department (Shediac) and Town Council (Shediac). Their affiliated unit is the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise's).
