History -
Records show that this Corps was originally formed as 89 Ridgetown Collegiate Institute Company (GO 117/1902 Militia Lists 1904) In Oct 1926 the Corps was reformed under a new number and designation and became known as 1304 Ridgetown High School, the sponsor being the Ridgetown Board of Education. Affiliated: 2nd (R) Bn Kent Regt Oct 19, 1942. The affiliated unit was the Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment. Affiliated: Essex & Kent Scottish Regt, Jan 1, 1955. Affiliated: 2nd Bn Essex & Kent Scottish Regt, Mar 7, 1962. In 1969 the Ken County Board requested disbandment of the Corps as they no longer wished to sponsor the Corps. Eff 1 Dec 1970 the corps was disbanded, and the Corps became part of no 59 Kent County Cadet Corps.
