History - formed with 2 coys. Formed effective l October 1904 and authorized as a four company battalion on 12 June 1916 (MO 223/16). B, C and D companies were formed 30 November 1920 (MO 476/20). On April 25, 1923 the Battalion was re designated as Regiment consisting of two battalions (MO 315/23). Both battalions consisted of a Headquarters and three Companies, with the 1st Battalion located at Central Collegiate and the 2nd at Ross Collegiate. Drill instructors were provided by 95th Saskatchewan Rifles until the re organization of the Militia in 1920. At this time affiliation was to the South Saskatchewan Regiment until 1924 and hence the King's Own Rifles of Canada. The Corps was re designated a Battalion effective 25 February 1925 (MO 129/25) and was disbanded 16 July 1932 (MO367/32).
