History - No 109 Ingersoll Collegiate Institute Cadet Corps was formed 2 May 1904. There was no mention in Militia Orders regarding the corps between 1920 and 1943, when effective 16 Mar the Corps became affiliated with 2 (R) Bn, Oxford Rifles. Affiliation: London & Oxford Fusiliers. Jan 1, 1955 Effective 1 May 58 it reaffiliated with 3rd Bn Royal Canadian Regiment (London and Oxford Fusiliers). According to 1981 annual inspection report, CF 790, the Corps was placed on probation due to low numbers and failure to hold an annual inspection. Letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 22 Apr 82 extended probation until the 1982/83 training year. Letter 1085-11-4 (DCOS Ops) dated 26 Aug 1982 removed probation. Effective May 1985, the Corps was co-sponsored by Branch 119, Hillcrest Memorial, Royal Canadian Legion and Ladies Auxiliary. Effective 17 July 1989 sponsor changed from primary sponsor, Oxford Country Board of Education, Co-Sponsor5, Branch 119 Royal Canadian Legion to Branch 119 The Royal Canadian Legion (D Cdts Adm 1267 refers).
