Corps was originally formed on 27 Sep 1922 as the Vulcan Public School Cadet Corps. It was disbanded 02 May 1933.
The corps reformed 09 Jan 1942. redsig: 1035 2nd Bn Calgary Highlanders (R) Cadet Corps Jun 6, 1942. In 1950 the Corps was redesignated as the Vulcan Legion Cadet Corps and the sponsorship was assumed by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 21. Affiliation was with the Calgary Highlanders. Affiliation: Calgary Highlanders, Apr 2, 1950. The corps disbanded 31 Mar 1950. In May 1971 authority was granted to disband the corps due to lack of adult leadership, training place etc. H.Q. 12-V-29
