ANNUAL INSPECTION HELD

Praise for the way members of the Woodstock Composite High School Cadet Corps and Band performed during the general inspection and demonstrations was expressed by Lt. Col. E.A. Grant of Fredericton following the inspection of the local unit at the armouries here last Thursday afternoon.

Under the command of Cadet Captain Byran Patterson, the Corps performed smartly in a number of drills before the inspecting party.  With Lt. Col. Grant were Captain E.A. Flewelling, area cadet officer and Major E.K. Wildfang, GSO Eastern Command, Halifax.

In the photo above, Herb Sproul blows mightily on his big horn as the band played in its’ demonstration.  The students also demonstrated their training on the Bren gun, wireless, rescue and map using.

L. Doug Loukes was in charge of the cadet corps training with staff sergeant Gerald Sproul directing the band.
