The best shot in the corps is Peter Calkin with ten targets above 95. 



CADET CORPS TO BE INSPECTED JUNE 2

 

It was announced from Halifax this week that the Woodstock High School Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps would be inspected on June 2.

 

The corps will be inspected at 2:30 on that Wednesday Afternoon with Major C.R.H. Porteous, DSO, the inspecting officer.

RIFLE COMPETITION CLOSING FEATURE

 

A recently announced closing day feature of the Fredericton Centennial will be a Provincial Rifle Competition, now set for Saturday, July 31st.

 

The event will be conducted by the Fredericton Garrison Rifle Assn and the rules laid down by the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association will govern the shoot.

 

An attractive cup has been offered by the City of Fredericton and in addition there will be a number of trophies and cash awards.

 

President of the Fredericton Garrison Rifle Assn. Is J.D. O’Connell Chief of the Fredericton Police Force.  Robert Mitchell is secretary-treasurer.
