W.H.S. CADETS ARE INSPECTED HERE

GAVE SPLENDID DEMONSTRATION OF PHYSICAL TRAINING DRILL ON H.S GROUNDS

The annual inspection of the Woodstock High Cadet Corp was held on the Fisher school ground on Friday afternoon.  Lieut. W.D. Robinson carried out the inspection.  Lt.-Col. W.A. MacDougall visited the grounds during the ceremonial and expressed pleasure at the fine appearance of the cadets.  After the general salute Lieut. Robinson took the salute at the march past.  Then followed company drill under the company commander Ivan Hayden; platoon drill under Buddy Hanson and Eugene True; section drill, under Earl Briggs, Ralph Kerr and Edward Gallagher; arms drill under John Tayor.  The parade then broke off for a brief period of rest followed by a few exercises in physical training led by Cadet Instructor W.S. Browrigg.  Demonstrations of signaling, first aid, small arms training and map reading completed the program.

Frank Oliver and Donald Hay were the drummers for the marchpast.  The boys deserve a great deal of credit for the splendid showing and for the fine spirit of cooperation which they demonstrated at all times.  Their aim was very ebidently to see that the Corps as a whole was a success.
