CADET BANQUET

A very successful banquet was given in the G.W.V.A. hall, Monday evening, by the Ladies Auxillary to the Cadet Corps under command of Lieut. J.R. Hynes.

At 5:30 p.m. the boys, with their bugle band, marched from the armoury to the G.W.V.A. hall on Connell street where supper was served.  About 85 including the guests, after singing O Canada, sat down to well filled tables.  After doing justice to the feast, the following program was carried out, Major Flemming acting as chairman:

Speeches by His Worship Mayor Belyea, Col. J.J. Bull, Major Hazen Flemming, Capt. F.L. Mooers and Lt. J.R. Hynes.  Reading y Mr. Hubert Seely.  Songs by Lieut. Nash Smith, Capt. F.L. Mooers and Master Fewer.

The conduct of the boys during the whole evening was excellent and reflects credit on Mr. Hynes for the manner in which he has handled the corps since he has taken over command.  The evening closed with the singing of the National Anthem.  Mrs. L.A. White presided at the piano during the evening.
