Nanaimo, BC - On October 23, 2007, Mr. Bob Chow, from the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #256 - Mount Benson in Nanaimo, presented a cheque in the amount of $500.00 to 2422 The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps. The Corps’ Commanding Officer, Captain Anthony Bone, accepted the cheque on behalf of the staff and cadets. In addition to the civilian Army Cadet League of Canada, the Corps is sponsored locally by generous donations from various service groups such as the Royal Canadian Legion. These donations help the Corps undertake many of the activities that make this organization successful and enable the local youth to give back to their local community. (courtesy Capt Anthony Bone)

Nanaimo, BC - Mr. Leonard Krog, Member of the Legislative Assembly presented a British Columbia Provincial flag to 2422 The Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s) Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps at the Corps’ monthly Commanding Officer’s Parade at the Brigadier DR Sargent Armoury across from Colliery Dam Park in Nanaimo. The Corps’ Commanding Officer, Captain Anthony C. Bone, and the Corps’ Company Sargent Major, Cadet/Master Warrant Officer Laura Cormons, accepted the flag on behalf of the Corps.
Mr. Krog, MLA, said, “This is an important event that demonstrates the value of the youth of our community. This organization will help prepare these fine men and women for future endeavors as leaders within our community, province, and country. I am proud of what these leaders of tomorrow will accomplish within this active Army Cadet Corps.”
Captain Anthony Bone, the Corps Commanding Officer, stated, “The presentation of this flag symbolizes the connection and the importance of this youth organization with the Province of British Columbia.”
