January 7, 1955 ~ Enderby Cadet Corp Receives Award For Proficiency
Enderby High School has won an award of $25.00 for Cadet Proficiency for the school year 1953-54. Enderby Cadets placed third in the province. The money will be used by the Corp to purchase various items of uniform not on general issue to Cadets. Sponsor of the Cadets during the period for which the award was made was the School Board of this District.

June 6, 1955 ~ Local Cadets to Attend Summer Training Camp
Members of the "D" Company Rocky Mountain Rangers (Enderby) Cadet Corps going to camp are Ronald Samol, Richard Rahan, Bayard Palmer, Norman Thomas, Frank Wernick, GordonWoods, Alvin Byrnand and Mervin McGregor.
July 1, 1955 ~ Division Commander Presents Awards to Enderby Cadets
Lieutenant-Colonel J.W. McGowan, Officer Commanding the Kamloops division of the R.M.R.s presented Cadet Captain Terry O'Conner with the cup for the most efficient cadet. First class shooting awards were presented to E. Halvoson, B. Gerlib, G. Hill, M. McGregoe and N. Thomas. Other shooting awards were also made including the Marksman Badge for an average of 90 to 94 points to John Cross, Tony Kohlman and Hugh Woolam. Bayard Palmer with an average of 97 received the Expert Badge. Capt. J.H. Palmer qualified for the Distinguished Marksman Badge with an average of 98.7.
July 22, 1955 ~ Local Militia Members at Summer Training Camp
Enderby cadets participate in Summer Training Camp at Sarcee Alberta in the biggest post-war concentration of Militia soldiers in Western Canada. More than 1200 citizens from many BC communities participated from Prince George, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Chase, Revelstoke, Armstrong and Lytton to name just a few.
July 29, 1955 ~ Five Local Cadets Training at Vernon
80 Cadet Corps are represented at Vernon Army Cadet Summer Training Camp from all over BC and Alberta. 600 Cadets trained in two main categories. These are the Senior Leaders' Wing, training more than 400 boys as instructors in infantry subjects for their own corps: and th "D&M" Wing, training 200 youngsters in driving and maintenance of three-ton Army trucks. Other boys are training as rifle coarches. The following local boys attended; C/Cpl. Bayard Palmer; C/Cpl. Ronald Samol; Cadet Richard Rahan; Cadet Frank Wenick; Cadet Gordon Woods.
December 2, 1955 ~ Enderby Cadet Corp Wins Provincial Rifle Competition
Six members of the Enderby RMR Cadet Corps won the provincial Strathcona trophy. The team members are:
Cpl. Bayard Palmer - 185 points
Sgt. Tony Kohlman - 184 points
Cdt. Gordon Woods - 180 points
Cdt. Hugh Woollam - 178 points
S/M Norman Thomas - 177 points
Cdt. John Cross - 172
for a total of 1076 points. The Canadian Scottish Regiment Cadet Corps of Port Alberni came second with 1033 points.(source Enderby Museum)
