PRICE, , Major - Mention in Dispatches - Infantry - awarded as per Canada Gazette and CARO/5324, both dated 3 February 1945.

PRICE, Henry Edward Clifford, Major - Member, Order of the British Empire - Infantry - awarded as per Canada Gazette dated 17 March 1945 and CARO/5466 dated 19 March 1945.

This officer has served with distinction as General Staff Officer Grade II at Headquarters 2 Canadian Infantry Division throughout the present operations in France, Belgium and Holland. His previous experience both on staff and regimental duty in Sicily and Italy have proved a most valuable asset in the exacting duties which he has undertaken. Major Price has at all times devoted himself with tireless effort to the successive and varying operations in which the division has been engaged. His comprehensive knowledge of battle procedure and practice have enabled him to make quick and accurate decisions and to assume with confidence responsibilities additional to his normal duties. His personal characteristics of energy, determination and foresight have contributed in large measure to the success which he has achieved, and to the confidence and co-operation of all with whom he has worked. Major Price has won a most enviable reputation within the division and has made an outstanding contribution to the present campaign.
